BODY-MIND-SPIRIT

“Dharma Artha Kama Mokshanam Aarogyha Moolamuthamam”. It means Health is very essential for fulfilling any of the four major goals of life i.e. discharging obligations, earning money, enjoying pleasures and salvation (as expounded by Indian Philosophy). And, let me say,

Health is the first step for your success. Health is not merely absence of diseases rather it is the combination of perfect physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual aspects. I would like to give you few tips here and I humbly request you to follow them in order to attain perfect health hence success.

Go to bed early i.e. before 10pm and have a sleep of minimum six hours.

Body requires relaxation and at that time it absorbs energy from the Nature. After doing hard work in the morning, it is necessary to give rest to the body a minimum of six hours. Sleep more than eight hours is not at all required.

Wake up before sunrise

The time approximately between 3am and before sunrise is said to be “Brahmi Muhoortham”. At this time, the climate is pleasant, mind is calm and the nature is pleasant. So, we are making the day positively charged, by beginning it at a time free from pollution and full of freshness extending through calm and happiness throughout the entire day. That is why our ancestors used to wake up before sunrise and offer prayer to Him.

Daily drink stomach full of copper charged water as the first thing in the morning and walk a mile or two.

Pour the water in a copper vessel, put a plate on it and keep it in a hygienic place in the evening and drink the same stomach full the next day morning immediately after mouthwash. This will cure constipation which is the cause for several diseases. And stools will com out without any difficulty. Hence, we are preventing several diseases. Note:

Don’t drink water while eating or after eating sweets or fruits. Water should be drunk half an hour before and two hours after meals.

Offer Prayer to God

Invocate and offer prayer to any your favorite God. Prayer makes the soul pleasant; the pleasant soul makes the mind peaceful and the peaceful mind can only provide perfect health. Prayer is necessary to attain perfect health because this human body is the combination of body, mind and soul. Don’t forget that the Mother Nature-the cause of our existence & livelihood, and this human birth-the miniature form of the nature and the highest and worthiest of all the births-are the gifts of Almighty.

It would be good if you allot one hour daily for physical exercises. Regular physical exercises keep the functioning of all the systems of the body such as circulatory, muscular, nervous, respiratory, skeletak, digestive, urinary etc in proper condition. Of all the exercises, Indian Exercise-Yogic Asanas-are the best, because yoga gives exercise not only to the physical body but also to the mind. It provides expanded life energy and extension of life span.

It would be good if we practice in sunlight. The solar energy in the morning is abundant and unlimited. The Sun has seven different colours (Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange & Red-VIBGYOR) and each colour give different effect on our body. With the exercise in sunlight, toxins & poisonous deposits in the body are sent out through sweat. Negative emotions are controlled and immunity of the body is increased. That is why our ancestors used to offer prayer to Sun in the morning. Sunrays are more powerful and beneficial when the Sun is in Golden Red i.e. upto one and half hour after sunrise.

Take soft food and take them in their natural state at regulated timings.

Our diet should include plenty of green vegetables, leafy vegetables, cereals, sprouted pulses with dates, coconut, jaggery, fruits, fruit juices etc. Bakery items, processed foods, sweets & sugar, oily foods, fried items should be avoided. Take breakfast between 7 and 9am; lunch between 12 and 2 pm and supper before 8 pm. Note: The persons suffering from simple or chronic ailments should compulsorily follow the diet as prescribed by the Therapist.

Make a habit of chewing not only eatables but also drinks.

Our teeth have buccal cavity. When we chew, saliva is secreted, gets mixed with the food, then enters the stomach and with the help of other digestive juices, food is digested properly. This habit of chewing prevents us from indigestion and even from the dreaded disease Diabetes and this habit should be formed right from the childhood. We should chew minimum 11 times. This ia great habit to prevent sugar, diabetes

Walk a distance of 100 feet after meals.

After meals, walk for hundred feet and lie down on your left. When we lie down on left, the right nostril is activated which is connected with the Sun (Fire Element) and the internal fire is created which greatly helps in proper digestion.

Don’t eat immediately after bath. Don’t sleep or do physical exercises immediately after meals.

There should be minimum one hour gap to take meals after bath; three hours gap before sleep and to do physical exercises. Otherwise, it will disturb the digestive system.

Drink plenty of water.

We should drink 31/2 litres to 5 litres a day. As our body has more than 70% of water, it requires more water for the proper functioning of the systems in the body. This habit cures and prevents us from constipation, indigestion etc.

Do fasting once a fortnight.

Since our stomach as well as other internal organs are like machines, it is necessary to give rest to them in order to maintain their capacity of functioning. Fasting is suggested on “Ekadasi” day. Note:Take the advice of the Therapist before you fast.

Don’t hold or stop the natural signals.

Don’t stop or hold urine, stools, cough, sneezing, belching or yawning forcibly. Let them be allowed to go out of the body because the body tries to expel the toxins out through these forms, otherwise, we will have to invite various diseases.

Senior Citizens should practice more simple pranayamas

Pranayama provides extension and regulation of breath. It recharges the inner battery by providing more oxygen and hence increases the life span. It is said “the lesser the number of breaths, the higher the life-span”. And it is a good stress-reliever too. All the best..
